"LOW TAXES ARE THE RESULT OF LOW SPENDING"
- GOVERNOR THOMSON
LOW TAXES ARE THE RESULT OF LOW SPENDING
New Hampshire has the fourth lowest tax burden in the country, when all forms of taxation are taken into account.
Our New Hampshire Advantage consists of no broad-based taxes, low business taxes, and no payroll taxes on employees.
We currently have one of the lowest unemployment rates in the country, and one of the fastest growing economies.
Governor Sununu's economic policies have worked to increase our economy. A rising tide lifts all boats.
Elliot will stand with this policy to protect the New Hampshire Advantage and oppose all new taxes, all new fees, and all tax increases. To do this, Elliot will vote for fiscally conservative policies that keep spending low.
A strong supporter of Education Choice, Elliot believes that students and parents should be able to choose the best fit for their education.
Elliot would support legislation aimed at expanding choice in Education, would strongly support Commissioner of Education Frank Edelblut and Governor Sununu's attempts to make this reality.
New Hampshire is perpetually one of the safest states in the county.
The first bill Governor Sununu signed into law after taking office was the Constitutional Carry law, which repealed the requirement to obtain a Pistol and Revolver License.
All persons who may legally own a firearm are now legally allowed to carry concealed on their person. Since taking effect, we have not seen the "blood in the streets" the Democrats predicted. In fact, quite the opposite has happened - New Hampshire got safer since the law took effect.
I agree with Governor Sununu that our gun laws are fine just the way they are, and that there is no need for the radical proposals from the Democrats. They've proposed 7 day waiting periods, magazine size restrictions, and red flag laws. I will stand with Governor Sununu and sustain his vetoes on all of these infringements.
